AOMA is regionally accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to award the master's and doctoral degrees.

Master of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (MAcOM)

Earn your masters degree in acupuncture and Chinese medicine. AOMA's comprehensive curriculum facilitates students' development into skilled, experienced, and compassionate practitioners. World-renowned faculty and supportive staff are committed to guiding students through this transformational journey.

Doctor of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (DAOM)

AOMA has one of the most exciting and innovative DAOM programs in the country. It is the only program East of the West Coast. The modular format with a week long intensive twice per quarter is designed for you to sustain your success and continue building your practice.

At AOMA, you will develop skills in pain management and the accompanying psychosocial concerns. Further depth is accomplished through the necessary leadership skills to assist change and transformation in your patient population.

Internationally Recognized Faculty

AOMA's faculty includes acupuncturists, herbalists, physicians, naturopaths, chiropractors, pharmacists, and PhDs in a variety of areas. The cultural and academic diversity of the faculty adds another dimension to the educational experience of students.

Study Abroad

AOMA offers a study-abroad program in China as a part of an ongoing collaboration with Chengdu University of Traditional Oriental Medicine. This biannual program gives students the opportunity to spend several weeks studying in China.

Success of AOMA Alumni

AOMA graduates are successful economically, socially, and personally. More than 90 % of AOMA graduates receive licensure within one year of graduation and 95% of graduates work in the field of Chinese medicine.

AOMA works actively to promote the success of its graduates including working to create employment opportunities for acupuncturists within the Austin area and beyond.
