About Sepideh Kohanim

Sepideh Kohanim is a Licensed Acupuncturist who holds a Master’s of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Diet & Nutrition. Her training as a nutritionist and her work with acupuncture have given Sepideh a unique perspective on Chinese medicine and have served to deepen her passion for healing.

Viewing the human being holistically while focusing on the root causes of her patients’ disorders, Sepideh believes that everyone has the ability to thoroughly heal when given the proper guidance and support. Sepideh incorporates that belief into her treatment. She is skilled at treating a wide range of ailments with acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and her treatments often involve herbal remedies.

She completed her post-graduate training at the Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Austin. Supervised by some of the most prestigious scholars in the field, her training emphasized pain management, sports medicine, women’s health, Respiratory and digestive disorders.

She been practicing Chinese medicine since 2008 . Along with her experience, Sepideh’s training has positioned her at the forefront of the profession of acupuncture. She is an avid scholar and an effective participant in the development of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine as a serious academic discipline.

She supports the studies of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the National Institute of Health (NIH). Both WHO and NIH have declared Acupuncture as a successful treatment for more than 75 health concerns including Psycho-emotional & Neurological Disorders such as Depression, anxiety, insomnia, headache, migraine, trigeminal neuralgia, intercostal neuralgia, post-stroke paralysis, dizziness, and tinnitus. Sepideh operates with the belief that the Oriental Sciences will soon be fully integrated into the modern healthcare system.
