About John Patton, Acupuncture Physician

John E. Patton, A.P., L.M.H.C., M.A.

Practicing acupuncture and Oriental medicine since 1976 treating low back & sciatic pain, pain in general, indigestion, constipation, headache, menstrual pain, arthritis, sports injury, nutritional counseling, chronic syndrome patterns including hormone imbalance and blood sugar imbalance, smoking cessasion.

Acupuncture and Psychotherapy can go hand in hand, yang and yin respectively. Both explore the subtle changes in our energy. Sometimes I will incorporate them both in a session. Together they facilitate the awakening and balancing of the physical self and the mental/emotional self. Through this work personal growth can be accelerated and physical wellness supported to bring about sustained change for a more healthful whole being.

Each therapy can bring greater balance to the whole with the two aspects containing a little of the other for balance. A Gestalt, if you will, emerges more balanced, more whole and evolving. Treatment is only a method to facilitate these processes of evolution, balance and healing. I offer both acupuncture and psychotherapy in combination or as separate therapies, a decision we would make at the time of your initial intake and evaluation.
