About Amy Ligani
Amy L. Ligani, L.Ac. is a practitioner of Oriental Medicine who values the importance of a professional environment that also offers a gentle, safe, nurturing, and relaxing atmosphere for her patients. Amy uses an original combination of acupuncture, shiatsu massage, herbs, nutrition and lifestyle recommendations, and is open to integration with existing healthcare providers for a patient's optimal health and well-being.
Amy finished her Bachelor of Science in Biology-Pre-med from Seattle Pacific University in Washington. She is a Licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in the State of California, with a four year Master of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine. (M.S.T.O.M.) from The Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She is currently transitioning into DACM with Pacific College.
She also has a diplomate in Oriental Medicine and is a board certified practitioner in Chinese Herbology by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
While at Pacific College, she received certification in Chinese Medicine from the famous Traditional Chinese Medicine Research and Science Hospital in Chengdu, Sichuan. She has interned with San Diego Children's Hospital Cancer and Pain Centers, and has worked with UCSD RIMAC athletes.
Amy values the importance of family, nature, overseas travel, yoga, meditation, and surfing with a sunset. By integrating these values with medicine she hopes to create a stronger presence with her patients and their health.
