The Longest Walk
is looking for acupuncturists along the walking route who would be willing to provide acupuncture to participants of this incredible five month
event.
The Longest Walk south route is being led by American Indian Movement (AIM) co-founder Dennis J.
Banks. It is an extraordinary grassroots effort on a national level to
bring attention to the environmental disharmony of Mother Earth, sacred
site issues, and to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the original
longest walk.
Participants
are walking from San Francisco to Washington D.C. along two routes and
are in need of alternative medical services for everything from sore
muscles and injuries to more chronic health problems. Volunteer to
help walkers as they come through your area!
You can check the two walk routes (Northern and Southern) and learn more about The Longest Walk at The Longest Walk Website.
If
the walkers are coming to an area near you on a date that you can
volunteer, please send an email to [email protected]. We're
told that the walk doesn't always make the exact location on the exact
day that the schedule describes, so flexibility is important for all
volunteers!
Come join in and show your support!
