Carlos Durana, Ph.D., M.Ac., Dipl.Ac. (NCCAOM) is a practitioner of traditional acupuncture with 30+ years of experience. He is also a body worker, body-mind expert, clinical psychologist, and writer-researcher with many years of experience in chinese herbology, meditation, medical and self-development Qigong, exercise, nutrition, and stress/life management. Dr. Durana emphasizes wellness and prevention. He works with a variety of physical, psycho-physical, and emotional concerns , such as pain, women's issues, sports medicine, depression, etc.

Dr. Durana was recognized twice by Washingtonian magazine to be amongst some of the most highly regarded practitioners in his field. He was a co-founder of the Maryland and Virginia acupuncture societies, and he served for several years as a member of the Acupuncture Advisory Board to the Virginia Medical Board.
