About Angela Gabriel
Angela Gabriel holds a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from New York College for Health Professions. She is a NCCOAM Board Certified Diplomat of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine and a licensed acupuncturist in Washington, D.C. In addition, Angela holds certificates in Chinese Herbal Medicine and Aromatherapy in Chinese Medicine. Her previous work experience includes participation in clinical research on acupuncture at Columbia University and running private practices in New York City and Washington, D.C.
Angela brings her expertise in Japanese-style acupuncture to acupuncture team at GW Center for Integrative Medicine. Japanese-style acupuncture places great emphasis on gentle and painless needling, and suits people with chronic pain and fatigue, children, and those who are sensitive to needles.
Angela is a general/family practitioner and treats adults, expectant mothers, children and geriatric patients. She addresses various conditions including chronic and acute pain, insomnia, GI issues, stress disorders, anxiety and depressions, PTSD, addictions, and other.
In her work with children Angela incorporates Japanese pediatric cutaneous ShoNiShin massage, pediatric acupuncture, specially designed pediatric herbal tinctures, and essential oils.
Angela believes that her patients receive the best care at the Center for Integrative Medicine, where the team of expert specialists from MDs to nutritionist take great care of each patient. Her education in both Western biomedicine and Eastern traditional medicine helps her to walk the path of Integrative Medicine.
