Dr. Megan Marco has a comprehensive background in healing. She enjoys treating people of all ages for all health concerns especially pain and stress management, fertility, NeuroAcupuncture, digestion, and Acupuncture Facelifts. Fondly called Megan by her patients, she studied Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, Oregon, graduating with a Masters in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine, Western sciences at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Neuroscience, as well as Physics at Yale University and Analytical Chemistry at Trinity College.
She traveled in India with the School for International Training, studying traditional Indian medicine including Ayurveda. Dr. Marco trained as a Wilderness EMT at SOLO and was a full-time ski patroller at Sunday River Ski Area.
Her passion for the mountains and ocean brought her out west where she went on to complete her four year Masters Degree at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, Oregon, graduating in 2000. Dr. Marco created the Oak Street Natural Health Center in downtown Portland, bringing together various specialists in complementary medicine.
Wanting to return closer to family, Dr. Marco returned to the Rhode Island/Connecticut area in 2004. Dr. Marco continues to expand her knowledge of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and herbs as well as her practice of energy work and qi gong. She has Advanced Training in Infertility/Fertility, which is one of her passions and she continues to study and loves to treat. She did an intensive Chinese herbal study of the Ten Herb Types in Nanjing, China with Dr. Huang Huang. She also trained in NeuroAcupuncture with Drs. Linda and Jason Hao in Albuquerque, New Mexico, bringing her on the path to treating people with various neurological disorders including Parkinsons, MS, post-stroke, brain injuries, PTSD, or to kick it up a notch. Dr. Marco enjoys helping her patients on their paths towards health and happiness.
Dr. Marco is licensed in the states of Rhode Island and Connecticut. She is nationally board certified by the National Commission of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is a member of the Connecticut Society of Acupuncturists and American Society of Acupuncturists.
