About Mark Bodzislaw

Mark Bodzislaw, L.Ac., is an acupuncturist and herbalist in Northern Virginia. He is Nationally Board Certified (NCCAOM, 2018) and licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia (2018). Mark received his master’s degree in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (2017) from the top-ranked Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine in Gainesville, FL. After receiving his master’s degree (MAOM), he has been continuing his education by working on his doctorate degree in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (DAOM) from Five Branches University in San Jose, CA (expected 2020).

Mark has studied under world-renowned acupuncturists and herbalists, such as Dr. Michael Corriadino (Neuropuncture), Dr. David Miller (Pediatrics), Dr. Rick Grieve & Dr. Mark Sodders (Clinical Research), Dr. Elizabeth Rochat de Vallee (Chinese Classics), Samson Cheung (I-Ching), Dr. Namgyal Qusar (Tibetan Medicine), Dr. Huang Huang (Chinese Herbs), Dr. Robert Yao (Chinese Herbs), Dr. Reginaldo Filho (Abdominal Microsystem, Brazil), Dr. Zhao Juan (Zhen Chu, Brazil), Dr. Tom Luz (Cosmetic Acupuncture, Brazil), Dr. Robyn Sodders (Leadership/Pedagogy/Case Mgt.), and Drs. Utilizing a host of traditional Chinese treatment modalities, including the use of Cupping and Gua Sha, gives him the cutting edge to help you realize your full potential of health in your mind, body and spirit. His warm and caring approach is holistic and individualized to your personal needs. Mark’s specialties and areas of interest include, Andrology (Men’s Health), Immunology (HIV/AIDS), Facial Rejuvenation/Cosmetic Acupuncture, and plant-based nutrition.

Born in the Midwest and raised primarily in South-Central Florida, Mark received his initial undergraduate studies in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences with concentrations in Political Science and Environmental Policy from the University of South Florida – St. Petersburg (2011). Additionally, he received, in conjunction with his MAOM, a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Dragon Rises, 2017).

His interest in acupuncture stemmed from a deep interest in Asian culture and language, as well as a keen awareness and desire in helping to alleviate the suffering of others.

Mark currently works in Alexandria, VA at Caring Acupuncture, and resides in Woodbridge, VA along with his 16-year-old border collie mix, Sobaka, and his 1-year-old Manx, Koshka.
