I hold a Master of Science degree in Acupuncture from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine(PCOM) and I have been honored as a (Dipl. Ac.) from the NCCAOM. I am certified in Clean Needle Technique with the Council of College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine(CCAOM). I am certified by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association(NADA) as an ADS(Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist). I am a member of the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine(AAAOM), the New Jersey Association of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine and a member of the Acupuncture Society of New York.
In California, Acupuncturists are required to take an especially rigorous course of study since they are registered as General Practitioners (GP) and must attend a school that meets the standards for Western doctors. The program I chose to attend in New York thorough Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) is a California based program that trains graduates as GPs.
I had four years of clinical training at PCOM's resident clinic in New York City. I worked with several supervisors of numerous specialties to obtain a well rounded experience towards my diagnostic and practical skills. These included: women's health, auto immune disease, pain management, orthopedic assessment, and emotional health. In addition, during the past seven years, I served at several Community Acupuncture programs in New York and New Jersey.
My practice promotes patient-centered integrative medicine focused on treating individuals in a holistic manner ( mind/body/spirit). With care proficiency and respect, it is my goal to provide compassionate, confidential and cost effective treatment in a safe professional environment. I am committed to the priviledge of serving each of my patients with integrity, enthusiasm, compassion and responsibility in their quest for optimum health and longevity.
