About Katy Peter
Katy is an acupuncturist, herbalist and health advocate that works with diverse populations and ages, including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ and persons with disabilities. She specializes in working with complex chronic illness and autoimmune disease, gender inclusive and sexual healthcare, digestive issues, pain and injury, addiction and harm reduction, PTSD and trauma informed care, and supports emotional well-being and mental health.
Katy graduated with a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) from ACTCM of CIIS in San Francisco. She holds both licenses in California and New York. She started her acupuncture practices in San Francisco and Oakland, California where she delved deep into Kiiko Matsumoto Style Acupuncture. She worked at Ume Acupuncture and Root and Stem Integrative Medicine in San Francisco and Oakland, CA. She recently moved to NYC and set up her own practice in Manhattan called Bitter & Balance Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine.
Katy is passionate about providing a safe, empathetic space where her clients have a voice. She enjoys working with persons of all backgrounds and health histories.
