About Hongji Zhang

Dr. Zhang specialized in Neuro scalp acupuncture to help patients with neurological disorders (multiple sclerosis, paralysis, muscle weakness, aphasia, dysphagia, cerebral palsy, TBI, PTSD, ADHD, autism, Parkinson’s, neuro pain, sensation disorder, etc.). Dr. Zhang has 30 years' experience in traditional Chinese acupuncture and herbal medicine, she provides patients with customized effective treatments of many conditions, including allergy, acute and chronic pain, infertility, menstruation disorders, arthritis, anxiety, insomnia, stress, fatigue, headache, rhinitis, tinnitus, dry eyes, digestion issues, diarrhea, diabetes, etc.

Graduated from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, she continued her M.S./Ph.D. program and practiced Chinese medicine for many years in areas of internal medicine, gynecology, neurology and ear, nose and throat before began her journey in USA. She intensively studied neuro-acupuncture that proven to be effective method for neuro disorders (MS, paralysis, etc.)

Dr. Zhang is a National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) certified and state licensed acupuncturist in Illinois. She has conducted scientific research and authored books and publications (details in her website). She provides free consultant and trial for Scalp acupuncture first Monday of each month (with appointment).
