Far more than a technique of inserting tiny thread like needles along meridian flow of the body, Oriental Medicine’s complex system of diagnostic method is a consideration of the person as a whole, not just isolated symptoms. The main objectives of acupuncture treatment are relieving pain and other symptoms, strengthening the immune system, and balancing, harmonizing and integrating the functions of the internal organs with each other, making for a unified, healthy person, rather than a collection of fragmented, disharmonious parts. Oriental Medicine addresses and seeks to find the root or the cause of the problem rather than just merely treating the manifestations of various symptoms.

Cosmetic Acupuncture is a very effective means of removing fine lines around the eyes, lips, and nose, deeper lines appear softer. It also helps to raise bags under the eyes, improves dark circles and firm chin lines. It can also lift and firm the bust.

As a practitioner specializing in Cosmetic Acupuncture, Min H. Lee O.M.D.,L.Ac. is able to utilize the meridians that either end or begin at the face to stimulate and balance the energy and at the same time. treat the underlying factors that contribute to the aging process. This involves the insertion of hair-thin disposable needles into specific areas on the face, ears, hands, legs and torso. The needles are inserted into the energy pathways or meridians to improve the flow of Qi(energy). As the movement of energy improves, a greater amount of energy and blood are circulated to the face, nourishing, hydrating, toning and diminishing the appearance of wrinkles.
