About Allan J. & Monica Sarrat
Dr. Allan J Sarrat is a Licensed and Board Certified Acupuncturist. He has years of real world experience diagnosing and treating patients in several clinical settings. Aside from his busy private practice, he has been heading the Chronic Pain Acupuncture program at the Hemet Valley Recovery Center and Sage Retreat since 2007 where he is responsible for diagnosing and treating complex pain disorders that have not responded to conventional treatments or surgeries.
He holds three Board Certifications by the California Acupuncture Board, the American Academy of Physical Oriental Medicine and the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He has also been a guest speaker at Holistic Health Conferences throughout the Southwest and is a previous member of the American Academy of Pain Management.
Since early 2008 until 2015 Dr. Sarrat was working side by side with Peter Yuen, PhD, who has over 50 years experience treating pain patients with acupuncture. Dr. Yuen is also the Founder of the Loma Linda Back Program and has worked at the Haider Spine Center and other chronic pain and rehab centers since the early 1970′s.
Through this working relationship and years of postgraduate work in Physical Medicine, Orthopedics, Sports Medicine and Pain Management, Dr. Sarrat has condensed decades of real life experience that he is passionate about sharing with his patients and other healthcare providers.
Dr. Sarrat believes that the patient is an integral part of the healing process so often prescribes home exercise programs as part of the overall treatment plan.
Dr. Monica Sarrat was involved in the field of Nursing prior to obtaining her Master’s Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Yo San University in 2004. She also received her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) with a focus in Integrative Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. This background has given her the ability to integrate both Eastern and Western treatment modalities to insure her patients receive the highest standard of care.
Dr. Sarrat’s passion lies in treating women’s health conditions- from menstrual disorders, infertility and pregnancy, to menopause. She has experience treating couples naturally to those using Artificial Reproductive Techniques (ART) to become pregnant, as well as working with local Reproductive Endocrinologists and IVF clinics. She has also had the opportunity to train under some of the top Chinese Medicine Gynecology and Fertility specialists in the world along with doing a post-graduate gynecology certification program at the Chengdu University & Hospital in China. It was there that she saw first hand how truly Eastern and Western medicine can complement one another, especially in the field of fertility. Dr. Sarrat is dedicated to helping men and women optimize their chances of fertility and achieve their dreams of having healthy babies.
Dr. Sarrat is also a registered yoga instructor and most recently became certified in Yoga for Fertility. She offers workshops at The Temecula Yoga Collective to teach couples different breathing techniques, yoga postures, meditations, and nutritional counseling to help boost their fertility. She also done extensive research and given lectures on the treatment of Breast Implant Illness.
Dr. Sarrat also treats patients two days per week at the Temecula Center for Integrative Medicine.
