About Jason Bussell
Jason Bussell is the President Emeritus of the Illinois Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine; a board member of the Illinois State Government Board of Acupuncture; and is the author of The Asian Diet: Simple secrets for eating right, losing weight, and being well published by Findhorn press (www.theasiandiet.com) He is also one of the first Americans to earn a PhD in Acupuncture prestigious Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. He grew up in Wilmette, in a family of physicians, earned a Bachelor’s degree with Honors in Psychology at Depaul University and studied Pre-Med at Loyola. He has worked in psychiatry for over 10 years before changing gears and moving into Eastern medicine. Jason is a generalist, which means he enjoys treating a wide variety of conditions. His areas of special interest include: Oncology, Sports Medicine, and Pediatrics.
He has been a featured speaker for: International Integratvie Medical Conference, UIC Medical Center Staff and Students, Northwestern University Feinberg's school of medicine, Evanston-Northwestern Healthcare's symposium on Radiation Oncology, UIC biology students, physical therapist, Conley Dentist's continuing education series, nursing home and hospice staff, and employee wellness groups. He has been interviewed on nationally- and internationally-syndicated radio programs.
