About Cara-Michele Nether

Hello my name is Cara Michele Nether and it would be my honor to work with you.

Why acupuncture and whole food nutrition together?

What does acupuncture do? Its purpose is to move our energy to prevent and/or resolve stuck energy. When the energy running through our body gets stuck, it causes an imbalance and pain. Sometimes people will report “I feel like my life is running in circles. I just feel stuck.” Or you may notice a stagnation of energy that feels hot, tender, or tight in your elbow, lower back or neck. Acupuncture moves energy from one place to another on the levels of our mind, body and spirit to restore balance and even flow.

Why Whole Food Nutrition? The cells in our bodies run off of the nutrients received from the food we eat. If 80 percent of the food we eat is nutrient rich, our immune system, nervous system, hormonal system and organs function without concern. If the majority of our diet isn't nutrient rich, we will slowly work our way towards disease and dysfunction. If your car doesn’t get the right fuel it will make noise and eventually break down. The same goes for our bodies.

Why combine the two? Let’s think of it like this. If you were going to build a strong house (your body) you would want highly skilled workers (Qi) and the best building materials (whole food). The energy or Qi in our body is strengthened by the nutrient rich food and together they become the framework (muscle and bones), plumbing (digestion system), wiring (nervous system) etc. needed to build a structure that is strong and sustainable.
