About Stefanie Woods

I am a Board Certified and Licensed Islamorada Acupuncture Physician. I received a Master in Oriental Medicine from the Acupuncture and Massage College in Miami, FL.

I have always been inereseted in health which impelled me to sign up in nursing school and I was accepted into the RN program. Despite the fact that I like helping people, I did not like the over-medication I saw taking place in conventional medicine.

While in massage school I received acupuncture treatments for a painful UTI. The acupuncture treatment worked so nicely that I was back to normal in just two days. Throughout that year I was also treated for acute colds, headaches and fatigue. Needless to say, I was awed with the results I got from this ancient old medicine. I was passionate to learn more about acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine. As soon I concluded the massage course I enrolled in acupuncture school and as they say; “the rest is history.” Three years later I was awarded my master in Oriental Medicine.

Working as a acupuncture practitioner turned out to be my devoted calling. It is very satisfying to see my patients get immediate pain relief without the risks of prescription drugs. Acupuncture is instinctive, safe, effective and drug free, and the only side effects you get is feeling recovered emotionally.
