About Tamara Allen
Tamara received her Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture and received advanced training at the Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hangzhou, China.
Tamara's interest in the treatment of infertility patients has led her to specialization in this field and has been accepted as a Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (FABORM). ABORM fellows have demonstrated competency and advance knowledge in the field of both Western and Oriental Reproductive Medicine be attending specialized training and passing a rigorous advanced certification eaxmination.
Tamara is licensed by the Board of Registration in Medicine and board certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), a national organization established to regulate the practice of acupuncture. She is also a licensed DOM in Florida.
Tamara has also been a Registered Dietitian for over 20 years and is a Licensed Dietitian in Massachusetts. She provides nutrition consultation to patients for weight loss and chronic diseases including oncology support and cardiovascular health, as well as general health and wellness.
The integrative use of Acupuncture, and other types of Traditional Chinese Medicine such as Chinese Herbal Medicine, combined with a blend of eastern and western nutrition is a unique way to combine the benefits of Eastern and Western Medicine. The approach is holistic and modern, while still treating the body and mind.
Tamara also certified in Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture, a non-invasive, gentle treatment to help rejuvinate the skin of the face and neck. Safer. less expensive and less invasive than costly facial injections
My goal as a practitioner of Chinese Medicine and Nutrition is to offer patients an integrative approach to healthcare and provide effective alternatives or complements to treatment without the side effects commonly experienced with conventional medicine.
