Search Hints
Zip Code - The optimal way to search for an acupuncturist, school or class is by Zip Code. This will bring up all the listings in a determined mileage radius from the zip code that you enter.
The listing will be sorted as follows:
- Closest practitioners or schools with expanded listing
- Closest practitioners or schools with basic listing
Note: The zip code search only works in the United States and Canada.
City/State - Typing in the name of a city, and/or choosing a state from the drop down list will produce all the listings in that city or state.
The listing will be sorted as follows:
- Practitioners or schools with expanded listing listed alphabetically
- Practitioners or schools with basic listing listed alphabetically
Province/ Country - Typing in the name of a province, and/or choosing a country from the drop down list will produce all the listings in that province or country.
The listing will be sorted as follows:
- Practitioners or schools with expanded listing listed alphabetically
- Practitioners or schools with basic listing listed alphabetically
Style of Acupuncture/ Treatment Techniques/ Area of Expertise/ Languages - You can limit your search by choosing a Style of Acupuncture, Treatment Technique, Area of Expertise or Language from the drop down list. This will produce all the expanded practitioner listings that meet those criteria.

Programs - choosing a program of study from the drop down list will produce all the expanded school listings that meet the criteria.

Associations and Schools - Choosing an association or school name from the drop down list will produce all the practitioners who have listed their school or Acupuncture Association membership.
Acupuncturist's Last name- Type in some or the entire last name of a practitioner to see if they are listed in the Acufinder.com directory.
Combination - You can combine any of the above search criteria to provide a specific listing in a specific area. For example, you could enter Miami as the city; Florida (FL) in the state drop down box; and Weight Loss as the area of expertise. This will provide a list of all practitioners in Miami, FL that have listed weight loss as an area that they specialize in.
In general, conducting a search using more information will produce fewer names, and vice versa. Accordingly, you may need to either broaden or narrow your search criterion to produce better results.
Remember: ONLY practitioners and acupuncture schools with an expanded listing can list their Styles of Acupuncture, Treatment Techniques, Area of Expertise, Languages or programs of study.
Occasionally, a practitioner is difficult to locate because:
- The acupuncturist has moved and has not yet notified Acufinder.com of the new address.
- The acupuncturist has chosen not to list their practice with Acufinder.com
