About American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine

The American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine has been a cornerstone of academics and classical training in the ancient healing arts of oriental medicine for the past 25 years. With a strong foundation in Classical Acupuncture, both technique and theory, as well as a renowned Chinese Herbal Program, the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine prepares our future practitioners for an exciting and rewarding career in interactive healthcare.

ACTCM was the first college in the United States to have received recognition for it's Master of Science degree in Chinese Medicine, and is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine(ACAOM). ACAOM is a federally recognized accrediting agency for the approval of programs preparing acupuncture and Oriental medicine practitioners.

Since 1980, we have developed and expanded our college as well as our community clinics while maintaining a small and selective private school ambiance.

Community Clinics
ACTCM's clinical training provides a vast array of opportunities for students and practitioners. The College sponsors community clinics in distinct neighborhoods. Each clinic offers unique characteristics to best accommodate the diverse populations served. These clinics range from drug detoxification clinics to hospice.

Herbal Garden Project
In addition to the many community clinics, ACTCM also has a Chinese Herbal Garden. The garden at present consists of Chinese plants and some European and native North American herbs. The Herbal Garden is student run, and student participation is always welcome.
