About Janine Jozwiak
Janine M. Jozwiak, founder of Nature’s Balance Acupuncture, earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Psychology from Loyola University and a Master of Science degree in Counseling from George Williams College. Janine spent several years in private practice providing individual counseling to children and adults before leaving the health care field for a brief hiatus in the corporate world.
In 2002, Janine returned to the health care field and earned a Masters in Acupuncture, with high honors, from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine. Janine is a board certified Licensed Acupuncturist (NCCAOM) and a member of the Illinois State Acupuncture Association (ISAA).
Janine’s area of specialty is in women’s health issues, sport and work injuries, and general types of pain. Janine has been trained in several types of acupuncture; Traditional Chinese, Auricular (Ear), and Scalp but specializes in Dr. Richard Teh Fu Tan's Balance Method style of acupuncture. Janine has followed Dr. Tan for well over 2 years to become truly proficient in this style of acupuncture. In addition, Janine has completed advanced training in the field of balancing women’s hormones naturally from a leader in the field, Dr. Janet R. Lang, D.C.
Janine is also a member of the prestigious Foundation for Wellness Professionals. The Foundation of Wellness Professionals is a national non-profit organization composed of health care providers who educate their communities on wellness and disease prevention. Lastly, Janine is a Reiki Master and is trained in the art of Jin Shin Jyutsu. Jin Shin Jyutsu releases tensions in the body, which cause various symptoms to appear.
Nature’s Balance has a mission to help as many people as possible in their quest for optimum health. In order to accomplish this mission, Janine works to educate her patients as well as the surrounding communities on the benefits of Oriental Medicine so that they may, in turn, educate others. Nature’s Balance is dedicated to teaching clients how to improve and maintain a healthy lifestyle through acupuncture, nutrition, exercise and supplements.
