About Kathleen Crosland
Kathy is licensed by the state of Maryland to practice acupuncture and is a board member of the Maryland Acupuncture Society. She is a graduate from the Tai Sophia Institutes for the Healing Arts, which is the oldest accredited acupuncture school in the country. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. Her knowledge and experience in both eastern and western traditions blends ancient healing wisdom in a modern world. Kathy is also certified as an acupuncture detoxification specialist through the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA). As coordinating faculty at Tai Sophia, she continues to support the training of acupuncture students in the area of addictions and substance abuse treatment. In addition to her acupuncture practice, Kathy is a certified yoga instructor (RYT200) through the Columbia Yoga Center and currently teaches hatha yoga. Her kindness and sensitivity are gifts given to all of her clients and students.
