COMMUNITY ACUPUNCTURE PROGRAM (CAP)
The College operates several acupuncture programs at community health care facilities throughout San Francisco. CAP sites provide ACTCM clinic interns access to the entire medical chart of the patient, so they can see how other health care providers treat the same patient. These experiences enable interns to acquire a sense of how to implement integrated health care, a model promoted by ACTCM.

The primary goal of CAP is to provide high-quality clinical care and patient education, using the modalities of traditional Chinese medicine. This program provides educational clinical opportunities for ACTCM students in treating diverse populations. Completing clinic hours at different facilities allows students to work with several health care providers and see a greater variety of patients.
