About Hongmei Li

Hongmei J. Li, O.M.D., L.Ac., is a California Acupuncture Board certified acupuncturist, who graduated from Tongji Medical University in China, and earned a Doctor Degree of Oriental Medicine from South Baylo University in the United States. Her specialties include the fields of internal medicine, OB/GYN and pain management.

Dr. Li has practiced Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture as well as Western Medicine for more than 20 years. She is highly experienced in treating gynecological disorders, such as irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, menopause and helped many couples solve their infertility problems. Also, by understanding the underlying causes of specific diseases, she has successfully treated most acute and Chronic pains with her unique combination Acupuncture Technique for her patients. This "NO-PAIN" technique is facilitated though the utilization of several simple advancements: First, the disposable needle is sheathed within a tube that affords a stedier, more expeditious insertion. Following the neddle insertions, a magnetic heat therapy is used to relax the patient's muscles and eliminate any feeling of discomfort. Finally, a multi-purpose health device is used to reduce the number of needles desired therapeutic results.

Dr. Li was a visiting scientist in UCLA School of Medicine, she has worked in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center as a Medical Researcher for 8 years. She has done extensive research and has published numerous academic papers in the field of internal medicine, gynecology and basic research in both China and the US.

As an integrative TCM and Western medicine practitioner, Dr.Li believes natural and holistic healing art can restore a patient's body and spirit energy , balance Yin and Yang and enhance the quality of life for all patients.
