About Jia Guo

The Concepts of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

TCM is a complete system of medicine that originated in China and dates back to 200 B.C. It has been practiced throughout the world and has long been a part of Chinese culture and history. TCM includes Acupuncture (5000+ years), Chinese Herbology (2000+ years), and Tui Na (Asian Bodywork Therapy). Chinese life style includes Diet and Exercise Therapy; for the past several thousand years, TCM has been effective in promoting the health of the Chinese people and playing an important role in the medical services arena. In modern China, Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine are practiced alongside Western Medicine in most hospitals. Chinese and Western medicine complement each other and are integrated to deliver an optimal level of healthcare.
