About Beth Burke
Acupuncture has been practiced for thousands of years to restore and maintain health in body, mind, and spirit. Through my acupuncture practice, I help people cultivate a sustainable lifestyle that promotes healing and the manifestation of one’s fullest potential.
My interest in Chinese medicine began while studying Tai Chi and Kung Fu. I received my Master of Acupuncture from the Tai Sophia Institute for the Healing Arts, the oldest accredited acupuncture program in the United States. I am licensed by the Maryland State Board of Acupuncture.
Currently I am practicing acupuncture at the Spectrum Center for Natural Medicine in Silver Spring, MD. I am also pursuing certification in Chinese herbal medicine, in which I am doing a clinical internship at the Tai Sophia Institute in Laurel, MD.
In February 2008 I will be co-hosting a retreat to a secluded island off the coast of Panama. During this unique adventure participants will learn skills to engender balance in body, mind, and spirit. Practices will include yoga, learning to surf, massage, and acupuncture for a perfect balance of activity and relaxation.
