About Michele Mutascio
Michele Mutascio, MSOM, L.Ac., Dipl. OM
Michele Mutascio is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the State of Arizona and Nationally Board Certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology. She is also a member of AZSOMA.
She received a Bachelor's Degree from ASU in Psychology and the went on to work with mentally ill adults. Becoming more aware of the mind-body connection, she went on to earn her Master's Degree in Oriental Medicine. She graduated Summa Cum Laude after completing a four-year, 3000 hour program at the valley's only nationally accredited Oriental Medical College, The Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture. This program included a two-year clinical internship in both Acupuncture and Chinese herbs.
In addition to her studies in the valley, Michele studied abroad and completed an internship at the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and affiliated hospital in Chengdu, China. While in China, she attended lectures, participated in herbal consultations, and treated patients in the hospital. She feels that having experienced the culture and the impact that Traditional Chinese Medicine has had on the culture, she is able to bring a unique and innovative approach to treating patients in our Western world. Michele is currently accepting new patients at the Myriad Wellness Center in Scottsdale.
