Jane McKee, MAcOM, L.Ac.
Licensed Acupuncturist

In 1981 I graduated from the University of Oregon with a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology. After getting married, having a child, and moving to Portland, I returned to graduate school, earning a Master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 1994. This was the culmination of a long-standing desire to study and learn acupuncture.

I have continued to study extensively since my graduation with my mentor, Dr. Richard Tan. I also utilize the principles of nutrition and herbal medicine. I want to help each person take an active role in his or her treatment decisions and feel in control of the process.

I am a strong proponent of prevention of illness and recognize that educating the individual is the first important step toward achieving an optimal state of health.

Misako Yamamoto, MAcOM, L.Ac.
Licensed Acupuncturist

I was born in Kobe, Japan and raised in Oregon within a bi-cultural and bi-lingual Japanese family and community. For the first 9 years of education I attended both Japanese and American schools. I went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Japanese from the University of Oregon, and a Master's degree in Oriental Medicine from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.

I believe a vision for a healthy planet begins with the health of individuals. Chinese medicine sees each person as a microcosm of the universe. Reestablishing and maintaining balance and harmony within our own bodies is integral to seeing this reflected in the outside world.

I am committed to evolving as a practitioner by furthering my education and knowledge to meet the needs of patients, as well as the field of healthcare as a whole. I look forward to the opportunity to meet and work with you.

Jeremy Jacks, MAcOM, L.Ac.
Licensed Acupuncturist

I was exposed to Oriental medicine as a teenager, after being advised by a number of Western Medical specialists to no longer play sports because of debilitating knee pain. The experience and success of the alternative treatment changed the way I viewed medicine forever.

I have a Bachelors of Science in Biology and a Masters from the Oregon College or Oriental Medicine. I then continued my education in China, and was fortunate to study under doctors with over 50 years of experience. Dr. Xu, a master herbalist and head of the department of Gynecology, and Dr. Wang, head of the Acupuncture department at the Nanjing Municipal hospital.

The beauty of Oriental Medicine is its ability to treat the underlying imbalances from which all disease develops. In a typical treatment I may use acupuncture in conjunction with other Oriental Medicine modalities including: cupping, Gua Sha, Tuina massage, nutritional supplements, and herbal remedies.
