About Susan Schiff
NCCAOM Board Certified Acupuncture Physician and Doctor of Oriental Medicine
Dr. Schiff is certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine as a Diplomate of Acupuncture (Dip.Ac.) and Diplomate of Chinese Herbal Medicine (Dip.CH).
Her initial motivation to study and train in alternative approaches to health care was a personal one. After suffering with endometriosis for 12 years, Dr. Schiff became disillusioned and frustrated with the limitations of western medical protocols, and sought an alternative course of treatment that would enable her to manage and overcome her disabling condition.
In the hands of well-trained Traditional Chinese Medical practitioners, her health changed significantly over a six-month period through a combination of massage, acupuncture and Chinese herbs. This gave Dr. Schiff a new lease on life, and she was so impressed that she made the decision to pursue the finest education available in the field.
Dr. Schiff completed studies at the University of Florida, The New Center College in Syosset, New York, the HeiLongJiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Harbin, China, and the Community School of Traditional Chinese Healthcare in North Miami Beach, Florida.
For more than 12 years now, Dr. Schiff has been treating patients for a broad range of health issues, with a special concentration and expertise in gynecology and fertility. She continues to study and train continually with world-renowned specialists.
