About Denise Demback
Denise is a graduate of the Maryland Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine and completed the Chinese Herbal Program at the TAI Sophia Institute. She is board certified in both acupuncture and Chinese herbs. She maintains her acupuncture license in Maryland and Virginia. Her clinical training included a summer study at the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China and clinical practice in the Shanghai hospitals.
'I believe the human body has very powerful healing capabilities. Sometimes when its mechanisms get off track, the body needs a gentle nudge in the right direction, which is what acupuncture and Chinese herbs are very effective at doing, as opposed to the sledge hammer effect of Western surgeries, drugs and their serious side effects.'
In addition to acupuncture and Chinese herbs, I have studied extensively with Carolyn Jaffe and Judith Mellor and practice their JMT energetic techniques for eliminating allergies and treating autoimmune disorders, such as arthritis, Crohn's disease, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and various neurological disorders. I also run a successful smoking cessation program, weight loss program, and facial rejuvenation/herbal facial therapy.
Our very serene and peaceful office setting is conveniently located next to the Timonium State fairgrounds with plenty of parking. I have daytime as well as evening hours to accommodate all schedules.
I am a firm believer in educating the public to the benefits of acupuncture and Chinese herbs. Therefore, I offer a $25 dollar discount off the initial consultation and examination to Acufinder clients, which takes about one hour to complete. At the end of the consultation, you will receive a diagnosis for your condition and we will discuss how we will pursue treatment with Traditional Chinese medicine.
