About Cathryn Hu
Dr. Cathryn Hu, the founder of Advanced Acupuncture, Inc., is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine formally trained in China at the School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She completed further post graduate studies in the United States.
In addition to her twenty-three years of private practice in California, she is a privileged staff at Centinela Freeman Hospital and San Gabriel Medical Center. Dr. Hu is also Board Certified by the National Commission of Certification in both Acupuncture and Herbology and is currently a Clinical Research Facilities Committee member at U.C. Irvine Center for the Study of Complementary Health Care. She is a professor of Advanced Acupuncture Institute to conduct continue education courses for the licensed acupuncture. She has been a professor at South Baylo University and served on the State Board of California as a Chief Examiner for more than ten years.
Advanced Acupuncture, Inc., established in 1984, with two modern medical facilities, is dedicated to providing alternative medicine for natural pain management and many other common health challenges.
Dr. Cathryn Hu and her staff, a team of formally trained Doctors of Oriental Medicine from China are experienced in providing acupuncture, herbal medicine, moxibustion, cupping and oriental massage to treat many chronic diseases. We work with our patient’s primary physicians, as well as, lawyers and insurance adjusters to speed your recovery and reached maximum improvement.
Dr. Hu has had advanced training in orthopedic acupuncture and was appointed by the Industrial Medical Council as a Qualified Medical Examiner in 1994. Our staff is familiar in dealing with Worker Compensation procedures and Personal Injury cases. The uniqueness of our practice is that in addition to quality care, we also offer wellness classes that introduce an Integrated Eastern and Western Medical Approach and Self-care Techniques every month. We have three new programs that we recently enhanced in our practice: Facial rejuvenation acupuncture, an integrative fertility enhancement program, and natural weight management. The programs have been so successful that the news media, such as the National Enquirer (for our facial rejuvenation work with several movie studios) and the TLC learning channel, are starting to report on our work.
