About Megan Marco
Dr. Megan Marco has a comprehensive background in healing people of all ages. Her specialty is pain management. Megan has studied Western sciences at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Neuroscience, as well as Physics at Yale University and Analytical Chemistry at Trinity College.
She has traveled in India with the School for International Training, studying traditional Indian medicine such as Ayurveda. Dr. Marco then went on to complete her four year Masters Degree at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Marco created the Oak Street Natural Health Center in downtown Portland, bringing together various specialists in complementary medicine. With her son starting school and wanting to return closer to family, Dr. Marco has returned to the Rhode Island/Connecticut area. Dr. Marco continues to expand her knowledge of acupuncture, bodywork and herbs as well as her practice of energy work and qi gong. Dr. Marco enjoys helping her patients on their paths towards health and contentment.
Dr. Marco is licensed in the states of Rhode Island and Connecticut. She is nationally board certified by the National Commission of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is affiliated with the American Association of Oriental Medicine (AAOM), the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Alliance (AOMA), and the CT Holistic Health Association (CTHHA).
