At The Wahls of Wellness we do not differentiate between the mind, body, and spirit. Each treatment integrates the physical, emotional, and spiritual conditions of the whole person.
Our philosophy is simple. We believe that our innate intelligence is inherently benevolent and knows what we need to do in order to be happy, healthy, and well. However, that wisdom is often blocked by disharmony and energetic imbalance within our bodies, manifesting as illness, dis-ease, or disabling habits. Using Oriental Medicine techniques -- Acupuncture, herbal and food therapy, massage, meditative and healing visualizations, along with essential oils and structural balancing therapy-- we help guide the body back into harmony and thus those symptoms resolve naturally as people get in touch with their own healing power.
It is our strong belief that Acupuncture and natural healthcare has the answer to the problems that millions of people face. Our passion is to reach the masses of society by serving other people and giving them a chance to get well and stay well without drugs or surgery.

Ian Wahl DAc, LAc, CH founded the Wahls of Wellness and its two sister companies the Natural Fertility Health Centers and the Midwest Allergy Relief Centers. Ian graduated from Washington University in 1972 and holds an MSW from St. Louis University. He received his Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine, specializing in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology, from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine. He is also holds a Doctor of Acupuncture (RI), is a National Board Certified Diplomate in Acupuncture (NCCAOM) and is a Certified Hypnotherapist. Ian is also a Professional Member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the American Latex Allergy Association, the Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network, the American Association of Oriental Medicine, the American Herbalists Guild, the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Alliance, the Illinois State Acupuncture Association, the National Guild of Hypnotists, and the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association. He is a published author of articles on Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine for professional journals. Ian is a member of the Doctors Speakers Bureau and the Foundation of Wellness Professionals and delivers community workshops lectures to provide the public with information they can use to improve their health naturally.
