About Carrie Murphy
On your first visit to my office, we will spend an hour getting to know one another. I will listen to your description of your health complaint, focusing on how it developed and how it is affecting you now. We will take time for you to ask as many questions as you like of me, so that you feel very comfortable with my background, training, and approach. I will ask your permission to be in touch with your biomedical team to insure an integrative treatment strategy that is safe and effective. Subsequent visits will take 45 minutes to an hour, and will include a brief update on your progress, a treatment which may include acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, gwa sha, and/or massage, and an herbal formula if indicated. Usually in the beginning, you will make weekly visits until your complaints taper off and your sense of wellness is improved enough to come in monthly or seasonally. All treatments are $70. In addition to my private practice, I am a Pacific College of Oriental Medicine faculty member in the Herbology and Oriental Medicine departments, and a supervisor in the student clinic. I graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine – New York with a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM).
