About Lorraine Harris
Licensed Acupuncturist, Lorraine Harris, helps women achieve their highest level of health through a comprehensive system of care that renews and rejuvenates women from motherhood through menopause. She is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of North Carolina and Nationally Board Certified Practitioner of Oriental Medicine. Ms. Harris is the only practitioner in Asheville offering The Fertile Soul Method™ for fertility and Mei Zen™ cosmetic acupuncture.
Ms. Harris's services include a gentle style of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, food therapy, life-style coaching, self-help rejuvenation practices and cosmetic programs. Her approach is most effective in treating gynecological issues (such as PMS, endometriosis, fibroids), fertility problems, menopausal symptoms (such as hot flashes, depression) and slowing the aging process.
Prior to starting her practice in Asheville, North Carolina in 2002, Ms. Harris had a private health practitioner practice in San Diego, California since 1998. Ms. Harris holds a Master of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine earned from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California. She also has advanced training in fertility under Dr. Randine Lewis, Mei Zen cosmetic acupuncture, Chinese gynecology, food therapy, Chinese herbal medicine and tonic herbalism.
Ms. Harris has additional western-related schooling in the biosciences, pharmacology, western pathology, western clinical studies, physical examination and ortho-neurological assessment techniques, and western nutrition. This educational background enables Ms. Harris to help her patients understand western diagnoses, treatments and pharmaceutical medications.
