About Lee Yao
Lee L. Yao, M.D. is a physician with specialty in Pain Management and Acupuncture. He received Conventional Western Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine education (Acupuncture) at Shanghai Medical University, one of the best medical schools in China in 1983.
After he had five years of residency in Neurology in China, which included Western Medicine and Acupuncture clinical training for stroke and pain, he completed his US clinical training at well-known Mount Sinai Hospital / NYU Medical Center in New York.
Dr. Yao has extensive clinical experience in Acupuncture and Pain Management. He applies Acupuncture to his routine practice for chronic neck & back pain, joint pain, neuropathy, headaches, smoking cessation, digestive disorders, sinusitis, menopause syndrome, bladder problem, weight control and many other medical problems.
He has been featured by "MainLine Today" Health Magazine for clinical applications of acupuncture. He has also given several acupuncture talks to the local hospitals medical staffs. Now more health care professionals have realized acupuncture role in our medical field and referred more patients to Dr. Yao's office.
Dr. Yao also does Spine Injections, Nerve Blocks and joint Injections to effectively treating various intractable pain conditions, including neck & back pain, joint pain and soft tissue injuries.
