About Hongzhen Chen
Dr. Hongzhen Chen L.Ac., MS, MD (China) has near 20 years experience in medical area. She grew up in a family with rich experience of traditional Chinese medicine. She received her MD degree from Shanghai Second Medical University, one of best medical university in China, Where she had been trained in both Western and Chinese medicine from 1979-1984. She then practiced as a medical doctor with experience of both Western medicine and Traditional Chinese medicine in a hospital in Shanghai China and was chief MD in that hospital. Dr. Chen had also been trained and practiced in top Chinese medical institutes such as Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Shanghai Research institute of Acupuncture and Meridian. Before she came to Dallas she was trained and practiced in Austin Texas. She also holds Master Degree of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is a national board certified acupuncturist and herbalist.
Her mission is to provide professional courteous service and quality workmanship to patients. Dr. Chen and her clinic, HZ Acupuncture & Herb Clinic, are pride of being health provider for majority of health insurance networks and do accept insurances. She is probably the only one or one of few medical providers in DFW area with years of education and experience in both western and oriental medicines.
