About Alexia Bennetts

Calm Spirit Acupuncture works cooperatively with physicians and other healthcare providers to promote our patients’ balance and health on all levels. Our practice is built on the trust and referrals of professionals from several disciplines including primary medical doctors, physical therapists, dentists, chiropractors, neurologists and osteopaths. Most importantly, we listen to our patients, not rushing them and work together to find health and wellness solutions.

Treatments take place in a relaxing and private environment lasting approximately one hour. First visits are usually 90 minutes and include a medical history and evaluation prior to treatment where herbal recommendations may also be made. The herbs used by Calm Spirit Acupuncture are custom-blended formulas based on each patient’s individual diagnosis, setting them apart from over-the-counter herbs. We treat a variety of conditions from bad colds to infertility. Specialties include women’s health, pain relief and respiratory conditions. We also stand apart as one of few acupuncturists who specialize in pediatrics.

Alexia Bennetts, L.Ac., Dipl. Ac.

“My care is given with gentleness, empathy, and professionalism. I strive to create a treatment plan that addresses each individual's needs and may include various modalities of Oriental Medicine, my goal is to treat not only the symptoms, but also the root of illness: restoring balance is the basis of Chinese medicine. Most importantly, I listen to patients, not rushing them and working together with them to find health and wellness solutions that fit them as an individual.

Pain is one of the primary complaints I treat, acupuncture is very effective for this, it is great to see people getting relief. Women's issues are another specialty area I enjoy treating, many of these problems respond wonderfully to acupuncture and Chinese herbs.

I work cooperatively with other physicians and healthcare providers to promote patients' balance and health on all levels. Our practice is built on the trust and referrals of professionals from several disciplines including primary medical doctors, physical therapists, dentists, chiropractors and massage therapists.”

Along with the better known modalities of Oriental Medicine such as acupuncture, moxibustion, and herbal medicine, Bennetts also administers oriental handwork, offers nutritional counseling, and education to all interested clients.

Alexia Bennetts took over Calm Spirit Acupuncture in 2004, where it has successfully treated patients in Arvada for more than 10 years. She brings working and academic knowledge to her treatment. Her degree in biology from the University of Colorado, coupled with her working experience at EAS, a sport supplement company, gives her a well-rounded foundation in health, fitness and nutrition.
