About Xiaoyan Hu

The Chinese Acupuncture & Herb Center.

We are a holistic medical center practicing acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Eastern nutrition and other related healing modalities, including Tui Na massage, Gua Sha, moxibustion, cupping, tai ji and qi gong.

The Center was established by Dr. Xiaoyan Hu in 1999 in order to provide the highest quality in patient healthcare and to educate the public on the benefits of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Free monthly seminars are also offered on various subjects including, Nutrition for Health and Weight Loss, Chinese Medicine for Infertility, and many others.

About Us


All acupuncturists and herbalists are board certified nationally in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. Dr. Chen has been a doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with clinical practice for more than thirty years. She is the First Female Ph.D. of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. Dr. Hu, who is an associate professor of the Minnesota College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in North Western Health Science University, is regarded by many western doctors as one of the best Acupuncturists in town. Dr. Knudson is a caring and well-trained practitioner. All the patients love her service.

We are conveniently and centrally located in Twin Cities area. Our facility has been designed for your comfort with large treatment rooms and a waiting room in which you can research Chinese or western medicine or just unwind from your day.
