About Guangxin Chen
- Dr. Chen has been a doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with clinical practice for 37 years.
- Dr. Chen graduated from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine & Pharmacology and has obtained her Ph.D. Degree of TCM. Being a Professor & Director Doctor, she specializes in internal medicine. As an outstanding medical expert.
- Dr. Chen is the first woman PhD of TCM in China
- Dr.Chen was invited by the Director of Taiwan Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine to visit and lectured in the Institute and other TCM organizations in 1994. Being the first of medical expert from Mainland China visiting & lecturing in Taiwan caused a big sensation in the field of TCM. Her medical achievement has attracted many medical experts in Taiwan, who consider her as one of the most top scholars in her field. She also visited & lectured in Japan & Hong Kong.
- Dr. Chen came to the U.S.in 1989, She has practiced acupuncture for many years in New York and at the same time,she still spent time on clinical research in promoting the function of anti-virus and in improving the immunity of organism & anti-cancer by combining acupuncture with Chinese herbs.
She has made extraordinary achievement in treating patients suffering from cancer and various kind of pain. The effect of such treatment earned her great praise from her patients.
Apart from the above, she also specializes in treating depression/anxiety, headache/migraine, muscle aches, sprains and strains, sciatic, sexual dysfunction and skin problems.
Dr. Chen has edited for a number of prestigious books/journals including Emergency Care of Internal Chinese Medicine and Chinese Internal Medicine, which are among the most frequently used textbooks in China.
American Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a leading international journal in the field has appointed her as one of the seven numbers of editorial boards.
