About Arthur Fan
Dr. Arthur Yin Fan is the only one who has both MD (5 yrs college study) and PhD (3 yrs college study and clinical practice) degrees in clinical Chinese Medicine (included in acupuncture) in DC, MD and VA states, and also has extensive training in conventional medicine in both China and USA. He had 16 yrs' medical experience in a Chinese University hospital before he came in USA in 2001. He also was one of very few clinical scholars in Chinese medicine who had an additional training under the guidance of Dr. Zhou Zhongying, one of five top scholars in current China mainland. So, he has strong education background and clinical training in Chinese medicine.
He has Acupuncture licenses in VA and DC, and was credentialed by NCCAOM in Oriental Medicine. He had licenses in both Chinese medicine and conventional western medicine, in the specialty of Internal medicine and neurology in China. He was a leading clinical scholar reported by the Reuters Health, an international noted media in 1999 for headache scientific study. He also was a postdoc research fellow in acupuncture and Chinese herbology research (in the field of inflammation,pain, cancer, neurological disorders).
Currently, Dr.Fan is the consultant in Chinese medicine / acupuncture research for University of Maryland, Baltimore which is one of NIH integrative medicine centers.
