About Jen Aliano

Jen Aliano, LAc, CCN received her Masters in Science of Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA and graduated at the top of her class. She also graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a major in Psychology and an emphasis in Pre-Medicine. Jen is licensed to practice acupuncture and Chinese herbology in the state of California. She received her certification in Clinical Nutrition and Aromatherapy from the Natural Healing Institute in Encinitas, CA, and she is now taking classes to obtain her PhD in Holistic Nutrition.

Jen is one of the chosen few to study as an apprentice under Dr. Richard Tan, OMD, a world-famous doctor of Oriental Medicine and the inventor of the Balance Method style of acupuncture. She has also assisted Dr. Lynda Harvey-Carter, the head of the Doctoral program at PCOM, and the very first acupuncturist to be on staff at Children’s Hospital in San Diego. While in school, she interned at UCSD’s RIMAC facility, treating sports injuries of all types. She also practices several other styles of treatment, including Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Auricular therapies.

Her special interests include women’s health, especially infertility and premenstrual symptoms, digestive issues, and all types of pain.

Jen has a warm and caring bedside manner that will ensure you your treatments are as comfortable and relaxing an experience as possible.
