Valerie Ducos L.Ac. earned her Masters degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Yo San University in Los Angeles, CA where she was under the tutelage of the renowned Dr. Mao Shing Ni. She spent part of her residency doing volunteer work at the West Hollywood Aids Clinic. Her extended studies include the popular acupuncture face-lift, orthopedics, pain management, woman’s health (menopause, infertility), low libido and pediatrics.
She is a California state licensed acupuncturist and a certified Diplomat in Acupuncture and Herbology under the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She has been in the healing profession since 1990. Starting as a Certified Massage Therapist she managed Massage Masters Therapy Center in Sherman Oaks CA. She was awarded The Patrons Association, Krupnick Essay Award for her paper “SEX OR HEALTH CARE? GOVERNMENT REGULATION OF EDUCATION AND LICENSING FOR MASSAGE”.
While living in South Africa she introduced Johannesburg to Pregnancy Massage by giving radio interviews and teaching classes about its health benefits. On her return she continued to teach at the Touch Therapy Institute in Encino CA.
As her Acupuncture practice grew she joined the Studio City Orthopedics and Medical Group treating a range of ailments from the common cold to orthopedic injuries to infertility. Valerie spent a year working with Acupuncture At Sea treating people from all around the world while living on a cruise ship.
In addition to her health care services, she also specializes in Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation for a healthier and younger appearance.
Valerie is dedicated to the miracle of healing. Her greatest reward is seeing her patient’s recovery. Through Acupuncture, Herbology, Diet and Exercise she will help you balance your Body, Mind and Spirit.
