About Laura Gunden
Laura Gunden began her medical studies at the University of Florida. During a study-abroad program in France, she experienced alternative treatments for healing in conjunction with traditional Western medicine. The focus on restoring patients’ health through integrating both alternative and traditional practices broadened her interests and redirected her studies towards alternative medicine.
Upon returning to the U.S., she attended the East West College of Natural Medicine, earning degrees in Professional Health Sciences and Oriental Medicine. Having experienced the personal and individualized care offered in Europe, Laura modeled an acupuncture and wellness clinic, Acunique Alternative, P.A., based on these same principles. Rather than patients communicating via office staff, Laura communicates directly with patients from the initial appointment scheduling, throughout their treatment period. Her goal is to engage patients in their healing process by educating and providing the necessary “tools” to allow them to heal themselves.
Treatment is provided in a warm, comforting setting. Every measure is taken to insure that each treatment is enjoyable and relaxing. With consideration given to the busy schedules most people endure, appointment times are respected to minimize waiting. Each patient is provided a customized treatment plan that considers their personal schedule and financial means. |
