About Sheryl Martin

Sheryl Martin, OMD, L.Ac., RN is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Licensed Acupuncturist and Registered Nurse. She graduated from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California and received her doctorate from Samra University of Oriental Medicine in Los Angeles, California.

She has been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine for 20 years and has worked as a Registered Nurse for 36 years with specialties in women’s health, chronic pain management and psychiatry and has been on the faculty at the Maryland Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine in Bethesda Maryland and the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She served 2 consecutive terms on the Maryland State Board of Acupuncture.

Sheryl speaks both locally and nationally on varied health topics such as chronic pain management, natural hormonal regulation and how to integrate the principles of Chinese Medicine into daily life. She is the Chief Operating Officer at the Maryland Center for Integrative Medicine.

She is co-author of the book The Tao of Dreaming, a book that teaches Acupuncturists how to apply TCM principles to dreamwork and how to use a patient's dream images as an adjunctive diagnostic tool.
