Will acupuncture work for trigeminal neuralgia pain management?

According to Chinese Medicine, trigeminal neuralgia is most commonly caused by an invasion of external of Wind and Heat that blocks the flow of Qi and blood in the channels. (It can also be a symptom of Liver and Stomach Heat rising upwards, Kidney Yin Deficiency, and some other diagnosis)
Principle points used run along the trigeminal nerve on the face. Supplementary points are on the body.
