About James Choi
Dr. James Choi has obtained Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (M.S.T.O.M.) degree from South Baylo University in California. And he graduated from Azusa Pacific University (Master Of Art ) in California. He is a Licensed Acupuncturist in California and a board certified Diplomate in Oriental Medicine from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). He is certified by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM) in Clean Needle Technique. He completed Anatomy and Neurobiology course in University of California in Irvine.
Acupuncture is an energetic form of medicine that is over 5000 years old. Through the manipulation of very fine needles, acupuncture is a safe and effective way to maintain and restore optimal health.
Pain in the body affects the mind and the spirit. It impairs the flow of vital energy causing depression, insomnia, anxiety, overeating, chronic exhaustion, and takes away joy from life…all of which weaken the immune system and can manifest as asthma, headaches, arthritis, allergies, sciatica, digestive disorders, etc...
In my practice I see a great number of patients with chronic pain. I also work with many patients that have allergies that affect their respiratory or digestive tract. Energetic work helps your body remember how to repair and right itself after illness and injury. My goal is to make this a pain-free process that can be accomplished as quickly as possible.
